Holiday Charity Project
December 18th, 2009, Friday 4:00pm - 7:00 pm
Calloway County Library Annex
Set-up/Drop-off Times: 2:30-4pm
Clean-up Time: 7-8pm
We will again be having a Christmas/Holiday Yard Sale this year. 100% of our profits will go to a local charity. Last year the group chose Needline.
Volunteers will be needed to bake goodies, make hot chocolate, bring Christmas music/CD player, work checkout station, help with set-up/clean-up, and to deliver unsold items to Glendale Caring/Sharing, Angel's Attic, or Goodwill.
This is a multi-purpose community outreach. We want to provide local families an opportunity to shop for good used toys, books, games, and dolls for their children for Christmas. Additionally, it is a tool for us to teach our children to think of other people during the season of our Savior's birth. There will be opportunities for families/homeschool students to volunteer at the yard sale as well. Children who volunteer/donate items will be allowed to shop for family and friends as well.
Accepted items will include good used books, toys, dolls, and games. Videos and computer games will be accepted as long as they are family friendly (nothing R rated). No clothes, please. We will have seasonal/Christmas items and baked goods again if people want to donate them.

A Night of Living History
January 22, 2010 at 6:00 in the Calloway County Library meeting room
Please join your fellow LAMP members for a night of living history as students share with our group about an event or individual they have studied and enjoy. Costumes, posters, presentations, props, etc. are welcome and encouraged but not required. Please feel free to participate in whatever way makes your child most comfortable- we want this to be an enjoyable experience, not a stressful one. The more students that participate, the more we all will learn! Light refreshments will be served and friends and family are welcome to attend. Please start planning now to be a part of this fun event.
Looking for an opportunity to fulfill your annual service to the group? Here is your chance! We need folks to help set up, clean up, bring food/drinks, etc. If you would like to help in any way please contact either Pam Jones or Jennifer Johnston. We are looking forward to seeing what these amazing kids will share with us!

Science Olympiad
The LAMP Science Olympiad is a venue to share projects, experiments, and study topics in the field of science with others.
Participating in this offers our children the chance to "show off" some of the things they've learned over the year, or do an in-depth project about something that interests them which can in turn inspire others. Projects may be set up like a standard science fair project or may simply be a static dsplay. Children are encouraged to be creative so other venues may be welcome as well. Please contact Sue Ann if you have any questions.
